Some linky goodness for you:
- Stephen Totilo, one of the few “proper” game journalists left, announced he was leaving MTV’s Multiplayer blog to become associate editor at Kotaku, of all places. Hopefully he will actually bring some decent content worth reading to the site (rawr). He wrote a nice final piece on how he got to where he is today.
- Content on GameSpite.net, edited by 1UP’s Jeremy Parish, will now be released initially in print form as a quarterly magazine before the content is posted online. I recently bought the GameSpite book and it’s a great read, basically a compilation of articles from the site on games from A-L.
- Some whiney git moaning about how low scores for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed made him unhappy. Best not read my review of it at Peoww then, eh pal?
- 1UP’s Retronauts podcast makes a welcome return with a new format, guests include Jenn Frank <3 and discussion includes the Game Boy’s 20th anniversary and Final Fantasy remakes.
- Old, but this nice article on Starmen.net shows, other than visually, how little Mother 3 changed in it’s transition from the cancelled N64 game to the eventual release of the GBA version in 2006. I’ve just started playing the fan translation and I’ll talk about it soon.
Now time for some more Pokemon Fire Red. Oh the nostalgia and memories…

If you want a play a new PKMN, I recommend the videogame version of the trading card game for the Game Boy.
The element of luck makes it more exciting than the RPG.
Exciting or not, I prefer relying on skill to win rather than luck. I’ve never been a fan of any trading card game.
